My work

pacific northwest born and raised.

i’ve been obsessed with filmmaking since my early teens. after working in the industry off and on for years, i enrolled in pcc’s multimedia program in 2010, where i met my business partner. in 2015 we co-founded the creative agency The Narrative, and i’ve been collaborating on film and video projects around the world ever since.

i work primarily as a director of photography, drawn to projects that prioritize an empathy for the human experience, and a reserved, naturalistic approach to visual storytelling. though my emphasis has been on commercial work, my passion is collaborating on narrative, doc, and music video projects.

past roles include creative director at The Narrative, director of photography at Hosel Creative, co-director of the feature film The Lower Rooms, and 1st AD on the coming-of-age feature Trash Baby, which is currently touring festivals.

alongside my production work, i teach cinematography and lighting at Portland Community College, and i’m the founder of the educational community organization Film For All, which helps open pathways into filmmaking for the next generation.
